“BREATH OF LIFE” QUILT PROJECT

“Quilts of Life” are being prepared to the glory of God, our creator who has fathered us into existence and who gives us the breath of His Spirit.  All glory and praise be to you, Lord God and Father!

Let the light of your Son shine upon the work you have called us to do.

We begin in Dayton, Ohio, claiming this city for Him.

Information

The Breath of Life Quilt Project offers an opportunity to help people recognize the value of human life—that we are spiritual beings created by God who loves us unconditionally.  Each of us is unique and has a purpose and reason for being here. And each of us has an impact on everyone with whom we come in contact.  Every one of us can make a difference in our world by helping those around us and defending the rights of those who cannot defend themselves.  We must stand up and promote human rights—the first and most important being the right to Life!

The Life Quilt encourages compassion and inspires personal involvement in promoting life-affirming attitudes.  Thank you for your support of this effort to promote a greater respect for human Life in all its stages.  Every person is a special creation. Every Breath of Life is a gift!

Breath of Life Quilt Instructions

You don’t need to be an artist or experienced quilter to take part in the Breath of Life Quilt Project.  We invite people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to come join us!

Note:  Instructions for preparing quilt blocks and panels are to be followed exactly as outlined to ensure that the squares submitted can be used in a quilt panel.  The Life Quilt Committee reserves the right to reject any submissions that are not in keeping with the theme, are offensive, or are not made according to the specific instructions.  All submissions will become the property of the Breath of Life Quilt Project.  (You will need to sign a “donation slip.”)

Each participant may donate 1 quilt block to be stitched together to make a 4 x 5 ft quilt/panel that will be displayed together with other finished quilts/panels and so form a large quilt.  Volunteers will stitch together the squares that are submitted to make finished panels.

All quilt blocks must meet the following specifications in order to be used:
